Admission Procedure

  1. Application for admission to the college should be made on a prescribed admission form by all the students including those who were in this college during the previous year. This is done immediately after the declaration of the results of the pertinent examination of the previous year.
  2. The prescribed form and prospectus can be had from the college office either personally or by post. For obtaining it by post, a request should be sent to the college at the following address:
    The Principal, AKI's Poona College of Arts Science & Commerce, PuneCamp, Pune-411001 (India).
    The request Should be accompanied by Indian Postal Order of RS-150/- in favour of Principal, Poona College payable at Pune, The name of the course to which admission is sought should be clearly mentioned in the request letter
  3. The admission form, duly completed in all respects and accompanied by requisite documents should be submitted/sent to the college on or before the last date notified by the college. The list of requisite documents to be attached to the admission form is described in the next section. The admission forms which are incomplete or incorrectly filled or submitted late will be summarily rejected.
  4. Out of the total available seats for each course. 50% seats will be reserved for the students belonging to Muslim minority Community.
  5. The admission form will be scrutinized by the College Office and signed by the appropriate authorities and the merit list will be drawn from amongst all the applicants. The grant of admission to the course rests solely with the College/ University Authorities.
  6. The students whose names have appeared in the merit list will have to confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fees at the cash counter of the college immediately. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of his/her claim for admission and the seat will be allotted to those on waiting List. The fees receipt obtained after paying the fees should be carefully preserved by the student.
  7. The admission granted by the college is provisional, until it is confirmed! by the university. For admission to senior college classes, preference will be given to students who have passed the qualifying examination from our college. However, such students cannot claim admission to senior college by right.

By the students who have passed H SC examination from the Maharashtra Board

  1. Statement of marks (HSC) original +2 certified photocopies
  2. School Leaving Certificate original + 2 certified photocopies
  3. Eligibility form (White)
  4. Fees Concession Form (if any)
  5. Affidavit (Gap Certificate) if applicable

By the students who have passed H SC examination from other States / Boards

  1. Statement of marks (HSC) original + 2
  2. LC/TC/Migration Certificate original + 2 photocopies
  3. Eligibility form (Pink)
  4. Passing Certificate original + 2 photocopies
  5. Character Certificate original + 2 photocopies
  6. Attendance Certificate original + 2 photocopies
  7. Fees Concession Form (if any)

By the students who are foreigners

  1. Firm Admission Letter issued by International Students Center of the University of Pune
  2. Copy of student's international Visa
  3. Copy of Statement of Marks
  4. Police Registration
  5. Photocopy of Passport

A COMPULSORY COURSE IN ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

(Compulsory at the S.Y.B.A./B.Com. / B.Sc., S.Y.B.B.A. & S.Y.B.C.A., B.Sc.Computer Science)

A compulsory Certificate Course in Environmental Science with duration of six months (40 Lectures) has been introduced from the academic year 2004-05 at the second year of any degree course, by the university of PUNE.

A candidate has to appear in the examination for this course (to be conducted by college) in II nd term of the second year of the degree course and he/she will have to pass this course in order to obtain degree certificate from the University. Students who do not succeed in this exam In the second year can reappear in Third year of degree course. However, no student will be awarded degree by the university unless he /she clears this examination before convocation.

The pattern of examination will be as follows: -

a) Multiple choice questions 50 marks
b) Essay type questions 25 marks
c) Field work 25 marks
  Total 100 marks
  Passing 40 marks
Note :- The fees for this course RS.200/- is included in the total fees.
